Solar home system certification
CER is one of the institutions that certify solar home system equipment for IDCOL against the Bangladesh SHS standard. More than 250 items — LED lamps, charge controllers, DC–DC converters and batteries — have been tested since 2010.
Solar DC mini-grid laboratory
Built with a Tk 1.10 crore World Bank grant through IDCOL: a 16 kWp prototype DC mini-grid with its own switchgear, protection and safety schemes, used to develop low-cost DC grids with local equipment.
Huawei–CER UIU Solar Lab
A joint lab for commercial and industrial PV and storage safety: arc-fault protection, rapid shutdown, IV-curve diagnosis and optimiser performance.
